Volume that collects the historic exhibition of Marina Abramovic at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, in which the artist sat silently in the atrium of the museum, inviting visitors to sit in front of her for as long as they wanted. The performance consisted of sitting every day, for a total of 716 hours, in front of over 1500 people, whose participation completed the work. Marco Anelli’s photographic project captured each interaction, taking a portrait of each participant and noting the time spent on the chair. The photographs give the viewer the opportunity to experience the performance from Abramovic’s point of view, in all her humanity. The photographs are intense and give the reader an original contact with the artist’s project.
